Stephen Devaux, is a dedicated project management theorist, consultant, author, and educator with 36 years of experience. His journey began with the publication of the article "When the DIPP Dips" in the Project Management Journal in 1992. Since then, Stephen has shared his expertise by teaching project management at universities and conducting training sessions for numerous organizations, including Siemens, Ford, Qatar Telecom, BAE Systems, the US Air Force, and others.
Stephen has introduced innovative methods and metrics such as the DIPP, critical path drag and drag cost, the value breakdown structure (VBS), and the doubled resource estimated duration (DRED). As part of his consulting work, Stephen has been involved in planning and recovering diverse projects, from Fashion Model Barbie to avionics on the F-35.
